The Talaria BAC8000 upgrade kit puts the largest controller in the ASI BAC range on the Talaria Sting, on a custom loom made for its plugs. On the original 60V battery it runs 5 kW. Bypassed, 8 kW. On a 60V high current battery it is set to 15 kW, and on 72V it reaches 18 kW.
Nothing is soldered and nothing is cut. The old controller comes out, the new loom clicks in, and an ElectricGen engineer tunes the BAC8000 to your battery and your riding in a remote session that is part of the kit.
What the Talaria BAC8000 upgrade kit changes on the Sting
Where the BAC4000 makes the Sting quick, the BAC8000 makes it relentless. Its phase current reserve means the pull does not fade halfway up a hill, and the same controller has room for a motor upgrade later.

With up to 700 A of phase current available, the BAC8000 keeps feeding the Talaria motor where smaller controllers start to hold back. Climbs, sand and deep ruts stop being a negotiation.

The red button on the original Talaria throttle becomes reverse. Back the bike out of a tight spot or onto a trailer without wrestling it.

The controller watches motor temperature and trims power before heat becomes damage. The optional radiator keeps the BAC8000 itself cooler when you use the high settings.

A custom wiring loom carries the stock throttle, brake sensors, motor phases and battery lead to the ASI. Every connector matches the Sting, so there is nothing to adapt.

The controller is the same in every Talaria BAC8000 upgrade kit. What changes is how hard we let it pull, and that depends on what your battery can give.

How you answer Select your battery depends on the display. With FabiRide Dash Pro choose the range, 60V to 72V, because you set the controller’s battery voltage yourself and change it when you change packs. With Eggrider V2 pick the exact battery you ride, because the controller is tuned for that pack and only a re-tune by us changes it later.
A word on the bypass option. It raises power because it removes the current limit that protects the cells. A healthy pack handles it, while an older pack will age faster. Because the BAC8000 asks for a lot of current, a battery built for it is the right partner for the 15 kW and 18 kW settings. Our high power packs use the QS8 power harness for the same reason.


Choose your display: FabiRide Dash Pro, Eggrider V2 or your own
The Display option decides what you see on the bars and how much of the ASI you can change yourself. Every Talaria BAC8000 upgrade kit ships tuned and ready to ride whichever display you pick, but only one of them talks back to the controller.

FabiRide Dash Pro
A colour touchscreen that reads the ASI and writes settings back to it, from the bars or from the free FabiRide app. It also carries your phone: calls, messages and music appear on the display. See the full Dash Pro feature list.

Eggrider V2
A compact display with a button that switches the controller on and off and a phone app for the basic readings. A good fit if you want the power and not the screen. Eggrider V2 details.
Already running an Eggrider V2? Choose “I will use my own Eggrider V2” and the kit ships without a display. The APT 750C is not offered with this kit at the moment.
What Dash Pro adds to the Talaria BAC8000 upgrade kit
Most displays only show numbers. Dash Pro changes them. On an ASI BAC controller every one of these works, because the display talks to the controller in both directions.

Reverse already comes with the kit on a Talaria: the red button on the original throttle is repurposed as reverse gear. Dash Pro adds it to the handlebar buttons as well and shows a live indicator while it is engaged.


The FabiRide app is free on iPhone and Android, and the same account opens in any browser. Settings and ride history live in the account, so a new phone loses nothing.

Fitting the Talaria BAC8000 upgrade kit

Remove the stock controller
Remove the battery, unplug the stock Talaria controller and take it off its mount. No connector is cut.

Plug in the loom
Every lead on the custom loom ends in the plug the Sting already has: throttle, brake sensors, motor phases, battery and display. Match and click.

Mount and route
Sit the BAC8000 in its holders where the old controller was, add the radiator if you chose it, and route the display lead to the bars.

Remote tuning session
Book the session that comes with every kit. An ElectricGen engineer connects to the controller, checks your installation, and tunes the settings to your battery, your riding and your terrain.
Keep it dry. The controller and its white signal connector must be protected from dirt and water during and after the installation. Water inside that connector is the one failure the kit cannot protect itself against.

Questions before you order
BAC4000 or BAC8000 for my Talaria Sting?
If 15 kW on 72V is enough and you keep the stock motor, the Talaria BAC4000 upgrade kit does it for less. Choose the BAC8000 for 15 kW already on a 60V battery, 18 kW on 72V, and the current reserve for a motor upgrade later.
Does the Talaria BAC8000 upgrade kit work with the stock 60V battery?
Yes, at 5 kW, or 8 kW with the bypass kit. The 15 kW and 18 kW settings need a battery that can deliver the current, such as our 60V 70Ah High Power or 72V Talaria Sting packs.
How does reverse gear work?
The kit repurposes the red button on the original Talaria throttle. Press it and the motor turns backwards. If you pick FabiRide Dash Pro, reverse is also on the display’s handlebar buttons, with an indicator on screen.
Do I have to solder, cut or reflash anything?
No. The Talaria BAC8000 upgrade kit uses the connectors already on the Sting, the controller arrives tuned, and the display plugs into the loom. Fitting is a matter of unplugging the old controller and plugging in the new one.
Can I change the battery voltage myself?
With FabiRide Dash Pro, yes. The battery voltage setting is on the display and in the app, so one Talaria BAC8000 upgrade kit runs a 60V pack and a 72V pack, which is why Dash Pro orders use the 60V to 72V option. With an Eggrider V2 the kit is tuned for the battery you pick at checkout; contact us and we re-tune it remotely when you change packs.
Is the radiator necessary?
Not for the 5 kW and 8 kW settings. At 15 kW and above we recommend it, because the controller then works hard on long climbs and in hot weather. It bolts onto the BAC8000 and needs no extra wiring.
